Known as “The Father of Porcelain Insulators," Fred M. Locke started the "Locke Insulator Manufacturing Company," in1898, manufacturing a variety of porceline insulators at his factory on Maple Ave in Victor, NY. The factory was considered the "Kodak of Victor," for being the largest employer in town.
Today, the business goes by "Victor Insulators."
